It is normal to have questions and uncertainties that need answers in order to decide on the therapist you want to work with. You have a right to get to know the person you will share with. One of the most important factors to success in therapy is that you feel a good fit and connection with your counselor.
Spirituality in therapy:
I consider myself to belong to a "tribe" of wounded healers: those of us who have been through "life on life's terms" and come out bruised but determined to let those dark spots be redeemed for goodness and blessing. My own healing has been decidedly spiritual and my spiritual experience has been distinctly Christian. I have found Jesus to be a place for a sort of "homecoming" - a way of operating that rescues me from meaninglessness - and a relationship that forever protects me from being alone.
There would be no better way for me to live out thankfulness than to honor each client's spiritual journey right where they are. To invite you move in your spirituality in the way that seems to create that very personal experience of your very own "homecoming". To honor the way that seems most authentic for you to move toward God.

Psychological or spiritual approach?:
Do you wonder if you need a psychological approach to healing, or a spiritual approach to healing? Click here to read an article that sums up my personal experience on the matter.
